Duties
- Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, ensuring accurate booking and seating arrangements
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest services
- Coordinate with the dining team to manage restaurant table assignments and optimize seating flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, providing information or taking reservations as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting areas
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback to enhance overall satisfaction
- Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and handling guest interactions courteously
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone communication confidently and professionally
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
- Basic math skills for handling table counts, reservations, and billing support when necessary
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude and positive demeanor
