Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Technician to join our team - preferrably a veteran or transitioning military. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in telecommunications. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fiber optic systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients.
Duties
- Install and configure fiber optic cables and related equipment in various environments.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems to ensure functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose issues.
- Collaborate with field service teams to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical support via telephone or on-site visits as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working on low voltage systems.
Requirements
- Veteran, National Guard, Reservists or Transitioning veteran
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools.
- Familiarity with telecommunications systems, including Ethernet technologies.
- Experience as a service technician in the telecommunications field is preferred.
- Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques related to fiber optics.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
