CNC Operator II
Shift:
- 2nd Shift, Mon - Fri, 3pm - 11:30pm
This position will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, help build new programs and operating Centerless Grinders and (Smart CNC Grinder).
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand.
- Set up and operate in an efficient timely manner to produce Quality parts to meet customer specifications.
- Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC (computerized numerical control) manufacturing equipment.
- Inspects and measures machined parts to specifications using CMM(Coordinate measuring machine) or Keyence(IM-8000 Series)
- Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, and processing.
- Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments
- Tracks scrap quantities and enters in production MII or SAP.
- Assist with 8D or 5 why Root cause analysis for Quality upsets.
- Operate two or more CNC machines simultaneously and perform in process AQL.
- Set up and operates Rush Wheel dresser as needed.
- Balances wheels to maintain stock levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Preferred Areas of Education, Certifications, and Skills
- 2+ year of CNC operations experience required.
- High level of Mathematics (Trigonometry, Geometry and Algebra)
- Must be able to read, interpret and comprehend blueprints.
- Has skills developed through formal training or work experience.
- Qualified candidate must posses analytical problem-solving skills.
- Performs the full range of established procedures and will typically be considered skilled through work experience.
- Candidate must pass required CUI training and background requirements set by the customer.
