1. Position Overview
Polaris Technology Group is a ServiceNow consulting partner that delivers IT Asset Management, IT Service Management, and platform solutions for enterprise and public sector clients. We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep IT Asset Management expertise to design, build, and deliver ITAM solutions across Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and the Configuration Management Database.
This is a senior, hands-on development role for a United States based professional who can work independently, engage directly with clients, and own technical delivery from start to finish. This position is fully remote within the United States, with periodic in-person participation and limited travel as described below.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ServiceNow IT Asset Management solutions spanning Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, and Configuration Management Database data models.
- Configure and extend asset lifecycle workflows, including procurement, receiving, stockroom management, deployment, transfers, and retirement.
- Build and maintain Discovery and integration patterns that populate and reconcile asset and configuration data from authoritative sources.
- Develop software entitlements, license reconciliation, and compliance reporting to support Software Asset Management outcomes.
- Implement Flow Designer flows, business rules, script includes, client scripts, and UI policies to meet documented requirements.
- Establish and enforce Configuration Management Database health, including identification and reconciliation rules, class models, and data governance controls.
- Translate client requirements into technical designs and document those designs in clear solution documentation.
- Build integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, the MID Server, and Service Graph Connectors.
- Participate in code reviews, uphold development standards, and mentor junior developers on the platform.
- Engage directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate functionality, and resolve delivery questions.
3. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of seven years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, with at least three years focused on IT Asset Management.
- Active ServiceNow certifications are required. Candidates must hold the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator credential and at least one IT Asset Management implementation specialist credential covering Hardware Asset Management or Software Asset Management.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management on the Now Platform.
- Working knowledge of Configuration Management Database design, Discovery, and data reconciliation.
- Proficiency with ServiceNow scripting, including server side and client side JavaScript, Flow Designer, and the platform integration framework.
- Experience gathering requirements and communicating directly with business and technical stakeholders.
- All certifications must be current and verifiable through the candidate's ServiceNow or Credly credential record.
4. Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer credential.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist credentials in Discovery or Configuration Management Database.
- Experience with Service Graph Connectors, including Microsoft Intune and other endpoint management integrations.
- Delivery experience in public sector or regulated industry environments.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
5. Location, Remote Work, and Travel
- The role is fully remote within the United States.
- In-person participation is expected approximately once per quarter for client workshops, team planning, and delivery milestones.
- Total travel is expected to be no more than ten percent.
6. Eligibility and Work Authorization
This is an onshore role. To be considered, candidates must meet all of the following requirements.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- Candidates must reside in the United States and perform all work from a location within the United States. Work performed from outside the United States is not permitted at any time and will result in disqualification.

7. Interview and Screening Process
To support a fair and secure hiring process, the following apply to every candidate.
- All interviews are conducted over live video, and candidates are required to keep their camera on for the full duration of each session.
- Candidates will complete a live technical assessment that includes screen sharing and live problem solving on the platform. Responses recorded in advance and assistance from another person during the assessment are not permitted.
- Candidates must be prepared to discuss their prior work in detail and to demonstrate hands-on knowledge during the conversation.
- Any misrepresentation of identity, location, work authorization, certifications, or experience will end consideration.
