Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Square POS.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision
- Upsell menu items including specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu expertise to assist guests effectively
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is essential
- Experience with fine dining or upscale environments is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Culinary or kitchen experience can be advantageous for understanding food preparation and presentation standards
