Temporary Special Event Assignment
We are hiring dependable and professional Security Officers for a large special event in Downtown San Francisco.
This is a temporary assignment with opportunities to work one, two, or all three event dates. Applicants available for all three dates will receive priority consideration. Dependable officers may also be considered for future special event assignments.
Event Dates
- Friday, August 28
- Saturday, August 29
- Sunday, August 30
Available Shifts
- 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Shift assignments will be based on operational needs and applicant availability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the event
- Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, and assigned areas
- Assist with access control and credential verification
- Provide professional customer service to guests and staff
- Monitor crowd activity and report safety concerns
- Help maintain orderly movement throughout the venue
- Protect restricted and staff-only areas
- Follow instructions from supervisors and event management
- Immediately report incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity
- Remain at your assigned post until properly relieved
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid California Guard Card required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Must arrive on time and complete the entire assigned shift
- Previous security, convention, hospitality, crowd-control, or special event experience is preferred
Assignment Information
- Unarmed security position
- Uniform and appearance requirements will be provided
- Shift times and check-in instructions will be provided before the event
- Meals and breaks will be provided in accordance with California labor laws
- Additional future event opportunities may be available for dependable personnel
