About Client:
We assists our clients in the planning and execution of successful projects. We provide environmental and geotechnical engineering, special inspection, materials testing, geotechnical construction, and subsurface exploration.
Duties include:
- Manage and oversee the execution of specialized geotechnical construction projects, including foundation support, ground stabilization, and subsurface remediation.
- Estimating project costs, managing the schedule, and manpower according to project specifications.
- Supervise and provide daily technical direction to field crews, drillers, operators, and exploration technicians within the department.
- Be willing to visit projects in the field and provide directions to the crew members according to project needs and specifications.
- Coordinate directly with engineers and clients to ensure project designs—such as micropiles, helical piles, shoring elements (soil nails, tiebacks), and grouting—are built strictly to specifications.
- Enforce rigorous safety protocols on construction sites, maintaining strict alignment with federal, state, and local safety regulations for safety-sensitive operations.
- Manage daily operational logs, schedule equipment utilization, track project budgets, and perform quality control checks to resolve site deficiencies promptly.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related technical field preferred. A Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) license is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a clear focus on geotechnical construction techniques (e.g., deep foundations, ground improvements, shoring installations). Field experience in geotechnical construction is a must as well.
Experience with construction cost estimating and engineering/design.
Deep familiarity with heavy drilling machinery, subsurface earth behaviors, and the ability to interpret complex structural blueprints and geotechnical reports.
Certifications:
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required; standard industry safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER, PMP) are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass a standard medical physical and functional lift test to adapt to demanding outdoor construction environments.
Pay: $135,718.75 - $175,435.48 per year
