MEPPI's Service Center Division (SCD) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Project Manager I to support the successful execution of customer projects from quotation through completion. In this role, you'll coordinate proposals, documentation, customer communications, and project execution while serving as a key liaison between customers, contractors, vendors, and internal MEPPI teams. You'll gain hands-on experience managing projects that support critical power and energy infrastructure across North America.
What You'll Do
Manage Projects from Start to Finish
- Support assigned sales and service projects from quotation through execution while helping ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Coordinate project schedules, equipment deliveries, installation activities, closeout documentation, and warranty obligations.
Coordinate Field Activities
- Direct and oversee on-site construction activities, subcontractors, and service providers during installation and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress to ensure work complies with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards.
Be the Customer Connection
- Serve as a liaison between customers, contractors, vendors, and internal MEPPI divisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Keep customers, management, and stakeholders informed through regular project status updates and effective communication.
Support Documentation & Project Execution
- Coordinate customer documentation submittals
- Assist with project scheduling, implementation, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance activities.
Support Quoting & Contract Administration
- Assist with preparing customer and subcontractor quotations.
- Help develop subcontractor scopes of work for installation and service activities.
- Review project-related payment requests and support contract administration activities.
Drive Successful Project Closeout
- Prepare project activity reports and participate in project meetings.
- Coordinate project closeout activities and ensure service and warranty commitments are successfully completed.
Represent MEPPI Professionally
Build positive working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams while supporting the Division's commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another related technical field required.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant project management, engineering, construction, or technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical Knowledge
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project.
