Stonepine Estate is a 400+ acre historic property in the hills of Carmel Valley, California. The grounds span oak woodlands, open meadows, formal gardens, an olive grove, and miles of trails — with an active equestrian center at the heart of the ranch. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected at a luxury estate. You will help ensure that every guest space is immaculate, comfortable, and reflective of the property’s historic character.
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, residences, and common areas across the estate. This role requires a high standard of care, consistency across multiple locations on a large property, and the ability to work independently within a structured schedule.
Guest Rooms & Residences
Clean and maintain 16 guest bedrooms across multiple homes on the property
Change bedding, replace towels, and fully reset rooms between guest stays to ensure every space is immaculate and guest-ready
Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly — floors, sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs
Handle fine furnishings, antiques, and historic spaces with appropriate care and attention
Replenish toiletries and in-room supplies; ensure rooms are stocked and organized before guest arrival
Common Areas & Laundry
Maintain indoor and outdoor common areas including living rooms, dining areas, patios, and event spaces
Complete periodic deep cleaning as scheduled — windows, carpets, wood floors, and other surfaces
Wash, dry, fold, and maintain linens and towels to estate standards
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies; communicate inventory needs to management
Property & Scheduling
Follow structured cleaning schedules and checklists; complete additional tasks as directed by management
Uphold a high standard of organization and presentation at all times, particularly in historically significant and fine-furnished spaces
Reports To: House Manager
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour depending on shifts and experience (evening shifts will pay more); gratuities available
Schedule: PM shifts; Fridays & Sundays approx. 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM (peak season April – November); additional hours based on events and occupancy
Requirements: Valid California Driver's License required
