We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial solar construction projects from start to finish. In this role, you'll oversee every phase of the project lifecycle—from planning and budgeting to construction and closeout—while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to our customers' expectations.

What You'll Do
- Manage commercial solar construction projects from kickoff through completion.
- Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Communicate with customers throughout their project, providing regular updates (weekly, when applicable).
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams to keep projects moving on schedule.
- Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Supervisors, and field teams.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety on every job site.
- Manage project schedules and proactively address issues that could impact timelines.
- Oversee change orders and contract modifications, ensuring all documentation and approvals are completed.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure projects meet customer expectations, company standards, and industry requirements.
- Identify project risks early and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare project reports, including progress updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
What We're Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience & Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Expert knowledge of commercial construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and project teams.
- Experience with state and local permitting requirements.
- Experience working with local inspectors and utility companies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Licenses & Certifications
Required:
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record and proof of insurance.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
Preferred:
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License.
Preferred Technical Experience
- Experience as an Electrical or DC Racking Foreman on commercial PV installations over 200 kW.
- Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) experience on commercial PV installations over 200 kW.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar engineering software.
- Knowledge of fall protection and rooftop safety practices.
Work Environment
This position is based at our Milwaukee, WI Arch Solar C&I HQ (53223) and includes travel to active job sites.
You'll work both indoors and outdoors and should be comfortable:
- Working in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
- Visiting active construction sites with occasional exposure to loud noise.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to safety while working in the field.
