Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Production to lead our manufacturing operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of production management, including planning, scheduling, and execution to meet organizational objectives.
- Develop and implement production strategies utilizing SAP, ERP systems, and manufacturing management systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization to reduce waste and improve quality.
- Manage production scheduling and capacity planning using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with supply chain, quality control, engineering, and plant management teams to streamline operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost control; analyze data using Excel data analysis techniques for informed decision-making.
- Lead a high-performing team by fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and professional growth while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in production management within manufacturing environments; proficient in SAP, ERP systems, and production management software.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including logistics, inventory control, and supply chain analytics.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements utilizing Lean management techniques such as value stream mapping and waste reduction strategies.
- Expertise in manufacturing management systems with a focus on production scheduling, planning, and capacity optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership in team development, cross-functional communication, and operational excellence.
- Skilled in data analysis using Microsoft Excel for tracking performance metrics and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable to support process improvement initiatives.
