Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and reconciliation
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers to encourage informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or online channels
- Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive store displays that highlight key products
- Support supervising staff during peak hours or busy periods as needed
Experience
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued for serving diverse customer needs
- Experience in upselling, product demos, or merchandising enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
