Role Description: The Development Officer serves as a key member of the PathLight International (PLI) team and is responsible for cultivating relationships that generate philanthropic support for the organization’s mission. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Development Officer will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and strategic partners while helping expand PathLight’s sponsorship, major donor, church, foundation, and partnership pipelines.
This position is ideal for a relationship-driven fundraiser who enjoys connecting people to meaningful impact and is passionate about helping transform lives through Christian education, discipleship, and leadership development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in fundraising, development, sales, business development, ministry development, or relationship management
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with cross-cultural sensibilities in a professional environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and attentive to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform
- Willingness to travel to Belize and around the USA
- Ability to work within a Christian framework; being sensitive to various expressions across cultures and denominations

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising or faith-based organizations
- Experience securing major gifts, sponsorships, or partnerships
- Experience with grant research or proposal writing

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
