The Family:
An organized and active Ravenna family is seeking an experienced Part-Time Nanny & Household Assistant to support their family beginning in August 2026. They are hoping to build a long-term relationship with a caregiver who enjoys working with school-aged children, values consistency and communication, and takes pride in helping a busy household run smoothly.
This is an active family whose weeks are often filled with sports practices, games, extracurricular activities, and the everyday logistics that come with raising two engaged school-aged children. They are looking for someone who enjoys keeping a household on track, helping children navigate busy schedules, and serving as a dependable presence during the after-school hours.
The family has successfully employed nannies for many years and understands the importance of creating a positive, respectful, and collaborative employment relationship. Their previous nanny remained with the family for six years, and they hope to find someone who is interested in becoming a similarly trusted and consistent presence in their children's lives.
Their daughters, ages 9 and 12, are kind, active, and increasingly independent. One daughter is a responsible, high-achieving student who loves soccer and participates in club soccer, school band, theatre productions, basketball, track, and summer swim team. Their other daughter is social, creative, and enjoys a balance of activities and downtime. She participates in soccer and school sports, recently joined swim team, and is excited to begin band next year.
Both girls genuinely enjoy spending time with caregivers and love activities such as going on walks, making videos, doing nails, chatting about their day, and simply spending time with someone they trust. As they continue to grow, they look up to the caregivers in their lives as positive role models and mentors. The family is seeking someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with older children and appreciates the unique opportunity to help guide and encourage children through the later elementary and middle school years.
The family's parenting style is warm, calm, and structured. They prioritize respectful communication, emotional safety, consistency, and age-appropriate independence. They value caregivers who are dependable, proactive, thoughtful, and able to create a positive, predictable environment where children feel supported and understood.
One parent works from home approximately two days per week.
