Position Summary
The Chemist is responsible for conducting laboratory tests, analyzing data, and developing and improving chemical products and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to support research and development, quality control, and process improvement activities.
- Perform quality control tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
- Analyze test data and prepare reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Develop and improve chemical formulas and processes to optimize quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Evaluate raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support to production teams as needed.
- Routine laboratory tasks such as cleaning glassware and maintaining chemical inventory/ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and new product development projects.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and GMP standards by performing job functions in accordance with SOPs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, scientific developments, and regulatory requirements relevant to chemical manufacturing.
- IPQC/FQC/OQC product testing and sampling.
- Implement instrument’s MSA(measurement system analysis)
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a chemical laboratory environment.
- Strong knowledge of chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, IR, UV-Vis, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
