Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations using table management systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, wait times, and guest preferences to enhance guest relations
- Assist with guest seating arrangements, ensuring efficient table turnover and adherence to food safety standards
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest needs and special requests
- Support overall guest services by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls confidently and courteously
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as RESY or similar platforms
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
