Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious OTR Truck Driver to join our logistics team. You will be responsible for the safe, timely delivery of goods across long-distance routes while adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations. The ideal candidate is a disciplined self-starter comfortable with extended time on the road and independent problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Freight Transportation: Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and tractor-trailers to transport goods across the country.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip inspections to ensure mechanical systems (brakes, tires, lights) are in good working order.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic logs of driving hours and rest periods to comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Cargo Security: Ensure all freight is properly secured for transit and verify that the load matches all documentation.
- Route Planning: Plan efficient routes using GPS and navigation systems while avoiding restricted roads or hazardous weather conditions.
- Communication: Maintain regular contact with dispatchers and report any delays, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintenance: Perform minor emergency repairs and routine vehicle upkeep (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure) as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Licensing: A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is mandatory.
- Experience: Most employers prefer at least 1–2 years of previous OTR or tractor-trailer experience.
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the past 3–5 years.
- Physical Standards: Must pass a DOT physical exam and drug screening.
- Age: Candidates must be at least 21 years old for interstate travel.
- Skills: Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS technology.
- Endorsements: (Optional/Preferred) HAZMAT, Tanker, or Double/Triple trailer endorsements can increase opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week
