Duties
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility exercises, fostering independence and confidence.
- Provide hands-on therapy assistance in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits.
- Help monitor patient progress by documenting responses to therapy interventions and communicating observations to the supervising therapist.
- Support the preparation of treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive strategies to promote ongoing recovery at home or in community settings.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient settings within skilled nursing facilities or clinics is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles to effectively support patient care.
- Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Familiarity with home health environments and acute care settings enhances your ability to adapt to different patient needs.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients’ families.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility to meet individual patient goals.

Pay: From $80.00 per hour
