Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Location: Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Hood, TX 76544
Summary:
Vighter LLC is recruiting Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists to provide patient care support at the CRDAMC. Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for the direct and indirect care of patients to ensure that the quality of the studies adhere to established standards. The standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding all recognized national standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced CT imaging procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.
- Support patient flow by completing exams efficiently and assisting other imaging technologists as needed.
- Adapt patient care and imaging techniques to meet each patient's physical, cultural, developmental, and clinical needs.
- Ensure all completed imaging studies are accurately processed, scanned, and archived in the imaging system.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions, coordinating with the Chief or designee for timely resolution.
- Participate in quality assurance (QA) activities, equipment maintenance, and image quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain competency through ongoing education, safety training, and technical advancements within the scope of licensure.
- Follow all departmental, hospital, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Protect patient privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with HIPAA requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, leadership, and fellow staff to promote exceptional patient care, physician satisfaction, and a positive work environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism through dependable attendance, appropriate appearance, effective communication, and adherence to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Identify and escalate operational or clinical issues to the Chief or designee when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in specialty.
Certification:
- Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- ARRT (CT) certification (required within one year of hire)
- Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License
