Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host and Bartender at Il Ritrovo to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while delivering exceptional service. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. Additionally, you will craft and serve beverages with flair, engaging guests in a lively and hospitable manner. Your enthusiasm, organization, and communication skills will help foster memorable experiences that keep our guests coming back.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent guest relations and ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
- Handle phone communication professionally, including answering inquiries, taking reservations, and providing information about the venue
- Maintain organized restaurant table management using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Upserve POS to track seating and orders
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages as a bartender, adhering to safety standards and recipe specifications
- Assist in maintaining food safety standards by following proper hygiene practices during food and beverage service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow and guest satisfaction throughout their visit
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Proven experience in restaurant reservation management and guest services
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems like Upserve POS
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Experience with guest relations, customer service excellence, and creating welcoming atmospheres
