The Five-Hour Cap
Indira caps daily hands-on massage hours at five.
Most spas push therapists to six, seven, or eight hours of bookings until the body breaks down and the career ends prematurely. We don't. Michelle, who founded the spa, has spent four decades in this industry — she knows what that path looks like, and she refuses to put practitioners on it. The five-hour cap is not a guideline. It is a structural commitment to your longevity in this profession.
Spa Body Treatments and enhancements offer the option to extend your day with significantly less physical strain. They are still hands-on work, but the pace is different — broader movement patterns, less pressure, less muscle support required. Protect your body, increase your income.
What You'll Do
Provide therapeutic massage from a thoughtfully designed menu: Tranquility Swedish, Structure deep tissue, Stone Fusion, Prenatal, CBD modalities, and couples sessions. Layer in Spa Body Treatments and enhancements when it serves the guest and your schedule. Build relationships with our established clientele. Develop your craft through in-house mentorship and continuing education with a forty-year industry leader.
Compensation Structure
Performance-based sliding-scale commission on services, body treatments, and enhancements, designed to grow with you across tenure and KPIs. 100% of your tips. We differentiate our entry compensation by experience — new graduates and experienced licensed practitioners enter at different starting points, both with a clear path of growth.
Our benefits package is expanding in 2026, including PTO and a healthcare contribution.
A Note on Earnings
Massage therapy is a profession where income varies widely — and it depends almost entirely on the practitioner. How much you want to work. How well you want to perform. What time off looks like for you. We've watched too many practitioners arrive with expectations that didn't match their reality, and we'd rather have an honest conversation about what's possible for you specifically than offer a generic range on a listing.
Selected candidates are invited to sit down with Michelle to walk through the full compensation framework, the tier structure, the benefits package, and what's actually achievable given your goals, your work style, and your life. We adapt to the right practitioner.
Dual-Licensed Practitioners
If you hold a second license — esthetics, nails, cosmetology — you'll be compensated at each license's structure for the services you provide under it. The economics of bodywork are different from skin care or nails, and we honor that. Dual-licensed practitioners build the most flexible, sustainable careers at Indira.
