Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates with precision
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Support physicians with basic procedures such as medication administration, wound dressing, or X-ray positioning in compliance with safety protocols
- Manage medical administrative tasks including ICD coding, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate documentation of patient encounters
- Conduct initial assessments in inpatient or outpatient settings across specialties like dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine
- Support emergency response efforts by maintaining readiness for urgent care situations and assisting with basic life support (BLS) when needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical or hospital settings; experience in rheumatology, dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
