Overview
We are looking for a DSP (Direct Support Professional) caregiver for our home of three young adult women who are very self‑sufficient but benefit from someone who can provide guidance and help them stay on track with their daily tasks and responsibilities. The right person is comfortable giving direction and following through, offering steady support while keeping routines consistent. A mature, grounded presence — similar to a warm but firm motherly figure — works extremely well in this home. The ideal candidate is confident, consistent, and able to help the young women stay focused and complete their daily routines without becoming overly lenient. Must live nearby MP to be considered.
Duties
- Assist residents with their daily routines and tasks
- Support with light household responsibilities, including weekly laundry and lunch preparation
- Dispense medications when scheduled or needed (training provided)
- Document the afternoon shift by journaling their day and noting any important updates
Requirements
- Must live nearby to be considered (Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, or Camarillo)
- Mature, responsible, and dependable
- Ability to pass a background check and TB negative
- Willing to complete basic medication training and required DSP coursework (licensing requirement; training provided)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
