Duties
- Receive, unload, and load shipments using material handling equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques
- Stock shelves with retail store products, ensuring accurate placement and organization according to merchandising standards
- Conduct inventory control activities including stock counts, cycle counts, and updating inventory management systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and stock areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
- Support retail store operations by replenishing stock on the sales floor and assisting customers with product knowledge
- Operate warehouse equipment safely following proper lifting practices and safety protocols while performing heavy lifting tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members across shifts, utilizing multilingual skills if applicable, to ensure smooth workflow
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to product availability or store layout
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic math skills for stock counting and pricing calculations
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar tools is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and inventory control tasks
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of grocery or retail store operations including product knowledge, packaging, shipping & receiving processes is beneficial
