Summary
As Front Desk Supervisor at Penguin City Swim, you are the first point of contact for our students and their families and the lead on-site supervisor. You run the front desk, supervise the porter and deck staff, and manage all communications with prospective clients. Your warmth, presence, and organizational skills set the tone for the entire facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet students and their families warmly as they arrive at the facility
- Provide information about classes, schedules, and instructors to prospective students
- Assist with check-in procedures and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed
- Manage all incoming calls, emails, sales, and marketing outreach to prospective clients
- Supervise the porter and any deck staff
- Perform a walk-through of the facility at the start of the day and at the end of the day
- Perform light cleaning as needed, including throwing out garbage if the porter has not done so, mopping, and tidying up the locker rooms
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area and facility
- Communicate with the Operations Manager when issues arise, including cleanliness
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Support sales efforts by promoting upcoming classes and special events
- Address any questions or concerns from students or parents promptly
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience in an aquatic, swim school, or camp environment
- Strong communication skills with an ability to engage with diverse audiences
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
