Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher for our Three-year-old classroom who will serve as a vital leader within our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing innovative curriculum plans, managing classroom activities, and building meaningful relationships with children, families, and staff. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate child development principles, literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and supports individual learning styles.
- Lead daily classroom activities, including circle time, hands-on projects, physical education, and sensory play to stimulate cognitive and motor development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships in supporting each child's growth.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and classroom management.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications, and childcare licensing standards.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development using standardized testing tools to tailor instruction effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Strong background in special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and behavior management practices tailored for young children.
- Prior classroom experience with toddlers or preschool-aged children is essential; familiarity with Montessori or other specialized teaching methods is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones, mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori training are highly desirable.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
