Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of the office are spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute significantly to the overall hygiene and appearance of our workspace, creating a positive experience for employees and visitors alike.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all office areas.
- Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools with proper technique and safety protocols.
- Use appropriate chemical agents for sanitation while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care techniques to ensure a professional appearance.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture or cleaning supplies.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored securely and maintained in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols consistently to prevent accidents or injuries during custodial activities.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support a clean and functional environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial or office settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods such as buffing and floor care is preferred.
- Prior experience with facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is advantageous.
