With approximately 250 students and small class sizes (15–25 students), you'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students and families while making a meaningful impact every day.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with Oregon standards and the Core Knowledge curriculum
- Create hands-on, project-based learning experiences
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom community
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with grade-level teammates and specialists
- Partner with families through regular communication
- Monitor student progress using assessments and data
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth
- Organize field trips, classroom celebrations, and other enriching learning experiences

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Current Oregon teaching license (or ability to obtain licensure through TSPC before employment begins)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of Elementary classroom teaching experience
- Experience with the Core Knowledge curriculum
- Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices
- Experience with restorative practices and trauma-informed education
- Familiarity with performance-based assessment and equitable grading
- Interest in outdoor education, agriculture, or environmental learning
