TITLE: Math Teacher - Middle Grades
REPORTS TO: High School Principal
JOB GOAL: Pine Springs Preparatory Academy is seeking a Math teacher (grades 6th-8th) for our Blended Academy. In addition to having strong content knowledge, PSPA teachers must excel at connecting with students in a way that makes learning fun and relevant, and builds upon their existing knowledge and skill level. This position requires someone who is able to effectively assist in providing instruction in-person and virtually.

● Familiarity with North Carolina Standard course of Study and iReady curriculum resources
● Passion for a project-based, interdisciplinary approach to curriculum design — commitment to develop integrated curriculum that is relevant, engaging, and in-depth
● Experienced in curriculum planning and lesson development for an in-person and remote learning environment.
● Ability to multi-task and stay organized across multiple subject areas and grade levels.
● Personal qualities that exemplify PSPA’s emphasis on our core values
● Experience using Google Workspace and other educational online platforms: IXL, iReady, Kami, Delta Math, Infinite Campus, Go Guardian, etc.
● Creatively approaches academic challenges, special needs, and accelerated learning opportunities.
● Skillful at using a variety of online assessment methods and applying instructional practices to address diverse learning needs.
● Strong interpersonal skills, ability to plan and implement integrated lessons using best practices.
● Possess a growth mindset
● Values a collaborative approach to working with a diverse population of children and adults
● A “whatever it takes” attitude and positive disposition
● High level of energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, and spontaneity
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
Ten month position (August 2026-May 2027)
COMPENSATION:
This position is projected 40 hours/week. Salary will be determined based on PSPA budget and experience.
Pine Springs Preparatory Academy does not follow the NC salary schedule and does not participate in the NC State Retirement System.
