Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Pre-Litigation Settlement Manager to oversee a portfolio of personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation resolution. This role is responsible for implementing case strategy, managing client relationships, coordinating case development, preparing and reviewing demand packages, and negotiating settlements to maximize client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters from assignment through settlement.
- Coordinate with case management team members to ensure cases progress efficiently and in accordance with firm procedures.
- Maintain proactive and timely communication with clients, investigators, medical providers, and insurance representatives.
- Review case documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper maintenance within the firm's case management system.
- Implement established case strategies designed to maximize claim value and support favorable outcomes.
- Monitor client treatment progress and identify opportunities to strengthen claims.
- Oversee the investigation and development of assigned matters, including the collection and analysis of evidence related to liability and damages.
- Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement opportunities by analyzing case strengths and potential challenges.
- Review, revise, and approve demand packages prepared by support staff prior to submission.
- Conduct settlement negotiations with insurance carriers and other parties in accordance with firm guidelines and case objectives.
- Perform regular file reviews to assess case status, update strategy, and maintain accurate case records.
- Utilize case metrics, reporting tools, and performance indicators to monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and promote timely case progression.
- Participate in case strategy meetings with pre-litigation and litigation team members.
- Perform additional case management duties as assigned by the Managing Attorney.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in personal injury law, insurance claims, legal services, or another role involving negotiation, case management, or dispute resolution is strongly preferred.
- Personal injury case managers, pre-litigation paralegals, insurance adjusters, claims specialists, and candidates with demonstrated success negotiating settlements or resolving complex claims are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and professional contacts.
- Proven track record of successful negotiations, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes and effectively resolve disputes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Comfortable reviewing records, investigative materials, and analyzing case-related documentation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese strongly preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
