Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Duties subject to change and/or additional duties may be assigned.
· Lead and support daily activities of the quality team (inspectors, technicians, and CMM operators)
· Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and customer requirements
· Manage non-conforming material, including containment, disposition, and corrective actions
· Oversee customer complaint investigations and drive root cause/corrective action (RCCA)
· Coordinate trials, product changes, and customer-specific requirements
· Conduct and support internal audits and quality system improvements
· Train and develop team members on quality processes, procedures, and standards
· Review and maintain quality documentation, work instructions, and procedures
· Support production by verifying product quality and resolving issues in real time
· Provide backup support for CMM inspection activities as needed
Required Education and Experience:
2 yrs. College; or three years related experience in manufacturing quality (Metal, Automotive or similar industries preferred) and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization”
Preferred Education and Experience:
In addition to the required above, CMM operator experience and supervisory experience is a plus, preferably in the automotive field. Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, and Power Point). Exposure to/or working knowledge of quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or similar)
Skills & Competencies:
- Familiarity with inspection tools or measurement equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Able to interpret technical documents and drawings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day activities of the quality team members, including coordinator, analysts and CMM operators.
Travel Required: Minimal travel required, less than 25%.
Work Schedule: Day shift schedule (Monday – Friday). Possibility of weekend work when needed.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, quality manuals, operational procedures, and work instructions. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to use ten key calculator, perform data entry, and use various personal software. An intermediate knowledge of Excel is required. Knowledge of metric system is preferred.
