Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or plating ingredients under supervision.
- Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring all serving ware and utensils are clean and ready for use.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas including floors, counters, sinks, and storage spaces.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service hours to ensure a smooth flow of food service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed to support chefs and kitchen staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations such as dishwashing, cleaning, or basic food prep is advantageous.
- Experience working in banquet or catering settings can be a plus.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices is beneficial.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience is a valuable asset but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key.
