Position Overview
Couture Dermatology & Laser Beverly Hills is seeking an established, experienced Aesthetic Medical Assistant to serve as the clinical backbone of our patient experience. Ours is a practice built on evidence-based, natural-looking results. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who already knows their way around a cosmetic dermatology or aesthetics treatment room, anticipates what the physician and patient need before being asked, and takes quiet pride in running a flawless clinic day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Direct Patient Care
- Prepare exam rooms and assist during medical, cosmetic, and surgical/laser procedures.
- Perform basic clinical tasks: vitals, patient prep, and sterilization of instruments.
- Call patients from the waiting room and place them in the exam room.
- Take HPI (history of present illness) information as necessary from patients.
- Assist the physician with exams and procedures as directed.
- Provide patient education on procedures and aftercare.
Clinical Documentation & Physician Support
- Scribe and accurately document patient visits in the EMR.
- Confirm all labs and reports are in the EMR for physician review prior to the next visit.
- Screen and highlight laboratory test results for physician review.
- Take prescription renewal requests by phone, call into the pharmacy, and chart renewals.
- Return patient phone calls with messages, normal results, and advice as directed by the physician.
Clinic Flow & Facility Support
- Support the medical team in daily clinic flow.
- Clean and stock exam rooms.
- Notify the manager of inventory needs.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and privacy standards of the practice.
- Assist the front desk receptionist as needed.
- Other duties as directed by your supervisor.
Nice to Have
A candidate open to growing into practice management — scheduling, inventory, staff coordination — is especially welcome to apply. For the right person, this role has real room to expand.
Qualifications
Required
- Medical Assistant certification/training (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) or comparable hands-on clinical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in aesthetics, cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, or a med spa setting.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA and clinical safety/sterilization standards.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
Preferred
- Experience assisting with laser, injectable, or energy-based device procedures.
- Familiarity with aesthetic treatment menus (neurotoxins, fillers, skin resurfacing, body contouring).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and move throughout the clinic for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (supplies, equipment).
- Regular exposure to a clinical setting, including sharps, bodily fluids, and cosmetic laser/injectable equipment, with appropriate PPE and safety protocols.
Our Core Values
These values are the foundation of Couture Dermatology & Laser. The right candidate won't just read them — they'll recognize themselves in them.
Clinical Excellence, Relentlessly Pursued
We rise to the occasion when our best is required. We take pride in the hard case, in getting the small details right, and in improving — visit after visit — until incremental skill becomes compounding mastery. It is the standard our clinical team trains toward, and the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
Honest, Graceful Communication
We have the self-awareness to see the truth clearly, the courage to say it with care, and the humility to receive it in return — whether that means guiding a patient away from a trend that isn't right for them, or helping a teammate grow. Nothing exceptional is built without honest feedback, given well.
Character Worth Trusting
We are the kind of people our patients and colleagues are proud to be associated with. What we say, what we do, and who we are line up — in the treatment room and beyond it. Patients trust us with their skin and their confidence; we treat that trust as sacred.
What We're Looking For
- Quick on your feet — the pace of a busy Beverly Hills cosmetic practice shifts by the hour, and you move with it, gracefully.
- A hard worker and a self-starter — you see what needs doing and do it, without being asked twice.
- A natural leader — you set the standard for the room, whether or not anyone is watching.
- Proactive — you anticipate needs and solve problems before they reach the patient.
- Devoted to a specialized, elevated patient experience — every visit should feel considered, never routine.
- Entrepreneurial in mindset — you treat this practice's reputation and success as your own.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
