Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being for our diverse clientele. Duties
- Provide a full range of massage modalities — including deep tissue, Swedish/relaxation, sports, and trigger point — tailored to each patient's needs and goals
- Consult with patients before each session to understand problem areas, health history, and any contraindications
- Evaluate soft-tissue and musculoskeletal issues and adjust technique and pressure in real time based on patient feedback
- Recommend follow-up care, stretching, or self-care practices to support patients between visits
- Maintain accurate treatment notes and documentation for each patient session
- Keep treatment rooms and equipment clean, sanitized, and fully stocked in line with clinic health and safety standards
- Coordinate with front-desk and clinical staff on scheduling, patient care plans, and any needed follow-up
Qualifications
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pain management strategies
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health and occupational health practices
- Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in specialized massage techniques or med spa experience are a plus
- Prior experience working in a healthcare or med spa setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a compassionate approach at all times
- We also welcome licensing students/apprentices actively completing their massage therapy coursework and hours — let us know where you are in the process
Additional Option: We are also open to renting out the room if preferred.
Compensation: $35 per hour plus tips.
