Duties
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials and tools
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and saws to support various construction activities
- Prepare and install formwork and rebar for concrete pouring, ensuring alignment with blueprint specifications
- Perform concrete cutting, finishing, pouring, and stucco application to achieve high-quality results
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately according to project requirements
- Support carpentry tasks including metal stud framing, tile laying, plastering, caulking, and other finishing work
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive role preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge related to tools, equipment operation, and basic machinery maintenance
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Understanding of safety regulations specific to construction workplaces and commitment to adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
