Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction and installation of residential structures, including framing, roofing, siding, and drywall
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and fastening
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of projects
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, and stucco application as needed
- Install doors, cabinets, flooring, tile, glass, trim carpentry elements, and perform painting or restoration work
- Support heavy equipment operation for site preparation or material transport
- Conduct quality inspections on-site to ensure adherence to safety standards and project specifications
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in residential construction projects
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
- Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes
- Skilled in various trades including carpentry (frame, trim, door hanging), roofing, masonry, plastering, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and glass installation
- Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems relevant to residential buildings
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for site work
- Strong understanding of construction inspection procedures and safety protocols
- Experience with Bluebeam software or similar digital markup tools is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently on-site in diverse weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail
