Job Summary

Duties
- Travel to patient locations such as homes, retirement communities, and similar locations to perform blood draws and specimen collection with precision and care
- Obtain accurate patient information, explain procedures clearly, and ensure patient comfort throughout the process
- Process specimens promptly for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage
- Maintain detailed records of each collection, including patient details, collection times, and any special instructions
Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling
- Proven experience in clinical laboratory settings with a focus on phlebotomy and patient service excellence
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform venipuncture confidently while maintaining patient care and comfort at all times
- Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate patient care
