CNC Operator (1st & 3rd Shift)
Location: Fowlerville, MI
FasTemps Staffing Solutions is actively seeking experienced CNC Operators for multiple openings with a reputable precision manufacturing partner located in Fowlerville, Michigan. Pay: $18.50/hr
Available Shifts - Monday–Friday:
1st Shift – CNC Machinist
3rd Shift – CNC Machinist
- 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Training will initially take place on a split shift from 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Position Overview
The CNC Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of CNC and manual machining equipment used in the production of precision-machined components. This role ensures that all manufactured parts meet required specifications, quality standards, and production timelines while maintaining safe and organized work practices.
Successful candidates will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions within a structured manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and manual machinery to manufacture precision components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference points to ensure machining accuracy
- Perform machining operations including production runs, finishing, deburring, and part preparation
- Inspect completed components to verify conformance with quality specifications and tolerances
- Complete daily production documentation, inspection sheets, and job tracking records
- Assemble machined components or subassemblies when required
- Maintain proper operation and care of machinery, equipment, and shop tools
- Ensure work areas, machines, and company equipment remain clean, organized, and safe
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and operational training programs
- Adhere to all production procedures and quality management system requirements
- Support company safety initiatives and maintain compliance with established safety standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Qualifications
- Previous machining or manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools and equipment
- Basic shop mathematics skills
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work both independently and within a team-based manufacturing environment
