Position Overview:
Giggles Early Learning Center is seeking an experienced and dependable Teacher to join the Giggles family!
The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, energetic, and passionate about working with young children. Applicants must have previous experience working in a licensed childcare center and be comfortable working as part of a team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Effectively support and enhance the developmental needs of children.
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Maintain active supervision of children at all times.
- Observe children and accurately document developmental observations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and families.
- Provide positive and non-judgmental support to families when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and other team members.
- Develop positive relationships with the families of enrolled children.
- Maintain an organized and well-managed classroom.
- Demonstrate patience, flexibility, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Be welcoming and hospitable to visitors and families.
- Uphold the vision, mission, and values of Giggles Early Learning Center.
- Participate in required continuing education, staff training, and meetings.
- Assist with and attend special events held by Giggles Early Learning Center.
- Help create an atmosphere of care, professionalism, and respect for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a childcare center is REQUIRED.
- Experience working with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 13 years old.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of child development and age-appropriate behavioral and developmental stages.
- Knowledge of MSDE/OCC childcare licensing requirements preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom of approximately 6–20 children with the assistance of a Teacher's Aide, based on age group and required ratios.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accept supervision, direction, and constructive feedback.
- Ability to implement lesson and activity plans.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to regularly sit on, get down to, and rise from the floor while actively engaging with and supervising children.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training may be provided if not currently certified.
- ADA training must be completed as required.
Schedule:
Applicants must have availability to work varying shifts between the hours of 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Childcare center experience must be clearly highlighted on your resume. Professional references may be requested.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
