Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival with genuine enthusiasm, establishing a friendly first impression
- Manage wait lists and reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials
- Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and service staff to coordinate seating and service flow
- Handle guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, providing accurate information about wait times or restaurant policies
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area
- Support guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host or Hostess in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience in hospitality, including hotel or guest services, is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods during shifts
