Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, equipment repair, and safe materials handling will contribute to our operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform order picking using electric or manual equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance or repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and support warehouse distribution activities.
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stacking pallets, managing materials handling tasks, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Support warehouse supervision by adhering to OSHA safety standards, participating in safety audits, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts (reach truck, clamp truck, Hi-Lo) in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker procedures.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, inventory control, and materials handling best practices.
- Prior warehouse experience involving heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and order picking is highly desirable.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and general warehouse safety standards.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurement tasks, and documentation accuracy.
