Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS)

Pay: $17–$21/hour
Schedule: Full-time or Part-time | Flexible | Hybrid (Office + Community)
Broadway Recovery Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to providing compassionate, community-based support for individuals in recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. Our Certified Peer Recovery Supporters (CPRS) are the heart of what we do—walking alongside our clients as living proof that recovery is possible.
The Peer Recovery Supporter’s role is to support others in recovery from a substance use disorder. They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships. In this role, you'll work directly with clients in office, home, and community settings to build trust, share hope, and help individuals work toward their own recovery goals.

Job duties:
- Build authentic, trust-based relationships with individuals in recovery
- Use your lived experience to inspire hope and resilience
- Support individuals through all stages of recovery
- Help clients identify goals, strengths, and personal motivations
- Connect clients to community resources (housing, employment, recovery supports, etc.)
- Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and life skill development
- Identify barriers to recovery and help develop practical solutions
- Provide ongoing support and check-ins—even after program completion
- Complete timely, accurate documentation in our EHR system
- Identify barriers (internal and external) to full participation in community resources and developing strategies to overcome those barriers
Qualifications
- Lived experience in recovery with 1+ year of sustained sobriety
- Active Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS) certification in Ohio
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build genuine, supportive relationships
- Nonjudgmental, compassionate, and recovery-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently in community-based settings
- Basic computer skills and comfort with EHR documentation
- Minimum highschool diploma/GED
