Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters, identifying faults efficiently
- Perform electrical diagnostics on complex industrial electrical systems to ensure optimal performance
- Comply with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during all work activities
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components for industrial applications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely to complete wiring, conduit bending, framing carpentry, and other electrical tasks
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment on construction sites or renovation projects
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to coordinate installation schedules and project timelines
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs before issues arise
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician in commercial and industrial settings with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical components
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes is essential
- Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters
- Construction site experience including renovation projects or new builds is highly desirable
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, power tools operation, and schematic troubleshooting is preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards
- Willing to Drive to Tucson occasionally, travel and per Diem to be compensated
- Willing to work 4x 10hr shifts up in Prescott and Flagstaff (Mon-Thurs) accommodation and food allowance compensated for
