Job Overview
Sasooness Law Group is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to support our Controller in overseeing the firm's accounting operations. This role works closely with leadership and various departments to manage accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and support financial reporting and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Support the Controller in managing the firm's accounting operations
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and internal financial analysis
- Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger activity
- Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Monitor operating and trust account activity
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Analyze financial data and provide reports to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of managing multiple account types, including operating accounts, trust accounts, and other financial accounts
- Proficiency with accounting software and other financial systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with leadership and team members
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
