Duties
- Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications and treatments such as IV infusions, injections, and wound suturing while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care, medication administration, and clinical observations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions such as cardiac catheterization recovery or trauma medicine.
- Manage acute pain through advanced pain management techniques and coordinate discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Conduct patient education on health coaching topics including medication adherence, nutrition, and post-discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations in the unit, utilizing skills in airway management, ventilator support, and critical care transport when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid RN license with current state registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required.
- Proven experience in acute care settings including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and diagnostic evaluation procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation and specimen processing.
- Ability to perform complex procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.

Pay: $3,929.85 - $4,732.73 per week
