Position Overview
VDCI is seeking a knowledgeable and service-oriented AEC Software Certification Specialist to join our team. This role centers on supporting students as they move through our online courses in software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, SketchUp, Fusion, SolidWorks, Navisworks, Civil3D, and related construction and design fundamentals. You’ll respond to student questions, clarify concepts, offer guidance on assignments, and ensure learners feel supported throughout their training journey. Weekend availability is required. Expected workload is approximately 8–10 hours per weekend, with potential for additional approved hours based on student support volume. Weekend availability is required. Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for student questions and course-related support.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely, clear, and supportive responses via our online learning platform.
- This role requires reliable weekend availability and consistent communication during assigned support hours. Candidates should be comfortable independently managing student support responsibilities in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Assist learners with understanding software tools, workflows, and course assignments.
- Collaborate with the curriculum team to identify and address common student challenges or content gaps.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in relevant AEC software platforms.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of student experience and course content.
- Stay current with industry trends and software updates relevant to AEC education.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least four of the following: AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Bluebeam, Procore, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Fusion, Navisworks, Civil3d
- Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction fields, or in technical education or training roles.
- Candidates should be comfortable reviewing DWG, RVT, PDF, or model files directly to diagnose and resolve student issues.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Passion for helping others learn and succeed.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous support environment.
- Reliable weekend availability and responsiveness during assigned support hours.
- Certification in one or more AEC software platforms is a plus (or interest in pursuing certification).
