Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of mechanical and electrical systems across our facilities. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex equipment issues, and executing repairs swiftly and effectively. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC/R units, refrigeration equipment, and other machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Install, modify, and upgrade appliances, HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory records for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies.
- Lead or assist with construction projects or upgrades involving mechanical systems or infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance mechanic with a strong background in appliance repair and mechanical systems repair.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technology, air conditioning units, and related equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience with appliance installation, equipment repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with MRO practices to ensure proper inventory management of parts and tools.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building infrastructure is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with leadership qualities to guide team members when necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
