Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Assistant to join our team. As a Shop Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our shop and assisting with various tasks related to machining and fabrication. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical knowledge and a passion for working in a hands-on environment.
Duties:
- Assist with the operation of polishing machine
- loading and unloading trucks
- assist with glass fabrication
- maintain a clean shop
- oragnize stock
- Handle hand tools, such as drills, grinders, and saws, safely and effectively
- Measure dimensions using calipers and other precision instruments
- Assist with machining tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a glass shop or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
