Position Overview
The Mitigation Technician is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency service jobs to perform advanced techniques for water and fire mitigation, as well as remediating areas damaged by mold, water or fire. Responsibilities include maintaining a fully stocked and prepared company vehicle to drive to work sites, obtaining necessary paperwork, preparing work areas for demolition, cleaning, equipment setup, drying and continually monitoring moisture levels until project completion.
Responsibilities
The Mitigation Technician will perform the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs. These duties are not listed in any particular order and are subject to change.
- Perform emergency board up, water extraction, and fire mitigation services efficiently and safely.
- Prepare rooms / areas for work activities to include setting up staging areas and equipment.
- Perform demolition and general clean up.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing debris.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to include securely storing equipment, tools, and supplies while not in use.
- Interface with customers and relay information to Project Manager and Superintendent when appropriate
- Complete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into database as needed.
- Maintain warehouse, equipment, tools in clean and working condition.
- Ensure the company vehicle is always fully stocked.
- Monitor consumable material stock.
- Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle.
- Monitor the safety, security, and appearance of the company jobsites.
- Recognize and mitigate jobsite safety hazards.
- Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours service calls.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- IICRC Water Restoration certificate preferred.
- Must be able to identify Product (consumables), usage and disposal requirements with training.
- Must have knowledge of various pump systems.
- Possess a sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to be flexible and adaptable based on business needs.
- Deep knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service.
- Ability to work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Eligible to operate a vehicle per company policy.

- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Frequent lifting in excess of 50 pounds.
- Occasional lifting from 41 pounds and heavier, assisted up to 50% of the time.

- Ability to use mobile devices for collection of data and time.
- Occasionally climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in extreme hot, cold, and humid conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
