Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for assisting in the overseeing of daily operations of a kitchen in a restaurant or other food service establishment. The primary responsibilities of a Assistant Kitchen Manager include:

- Food Preparation: The Kitchen Manager and Assistant Kitchen Manager supervises the preparation of all food items and ensures that they are prepared according to established recipes, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: The Assistant Kitchen Manager is responsible for assisting in the managing of food and supply inventories, including ordering, receiving, and storing food and supplies, as well as monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Staff Management: The Assistant Kitchen Manager assists in hires, trains, and manages kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers, and ensures that they are following proper food preparation and safety procedures.
- Kitchen Safety and Sanitation: The Assistant Kitchen Manager ensures that the kitchen is clean, safe, and sanitary at all times, and that all staff members are following proper food handling and safety protocols.
- Budget Management: The Assistant Kitchen Manager assists in managing the kitchen budget, including labor costs, food costs, and other expenses, and for ensuring that the kitchen operates within budgetary constraints.
- Customer Service: The Assistant Kitchen Manager works closely with front-of-house staff to ensure that customers receive high-quality food and service and that any customer complaints or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
Physical Requirements
- Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.

- You may be exposed to airborne particles, caustic, chemicals, electric current, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, and odors.
